I missed a half-dozen press screenings for Attack the Block and am really regretting it right now, because I hardly get the chance to go to the movies anymore and I need to see it again. Just a tremendously fun, exciting, resonant film. Exactly the kind of movie I always wanted to see- a horror/fantasy/action flick set in the city. How come suburban kids always get to have all the fun, anyway?

Another thing I haven’t heard enough about was the incredible creature design. Big black furry eyeless beasts with glowing blue teeth,they’re easily some of the best and most memorable aliens in recent memory. Still curious to see how exactly they were pulled off- I know a guy in a suit, animatronics and some CGI for the teeth were involved, but I’d love to see a doc on this on the blu of the film. Cause I am buying this sucker day one.

Now, time to pick up the soundtrack. I see that it’s got “Get that Snitch” on it!
